Terms of Use

These Terms of Use set the rules for visiting Connecticut Busted Mugshots and using its pages and tools. By browsing or submitting a search, you agree to follow them. If you do not accept these conditions, stop using the service. The site is a private information resource that points toward public agencies and partner tools; it does not act as a police department, court, jail, or records office.

Connecticut Busted Mugshots is privately operated and is not connected with any government agency, sheriff's office, police department, court, jail, or corrections office. It is a statewide reference for arrest-record and booking-photo resources, not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency. Neither this service nor its advertising partners offer services for a purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), including credit, employment, insurance, or tenant-screening decisions.

What This Service Provides

Connecticut Busted Mugshots is an independent reference site. It does not store official arrest, court, or custody records, and it cannot confirm where a person is held, arrange a release, or file papers with an agency. A name or photo shown in an outside record reflects a point in time and does not establish guilt.

The statewide pages route visitors toward municipal police records, the Connecticut State Police Bureau of Identification, Judicial Branch case information, Connecticut State Department of Correction (CT DOC) custody resources, historical materials, and the project's town and geographic-county pages. Some search tools are run by outside partners. Their results and data practices remain separate from this site's own pages.

Rules for Using the Site

Use the pages in a lawful and considerate way. These limits apply to site text, linked material, and information returned by partner tools:

  • Do not use the site to break a law or violate another person's rights.
  • Do not stalk, harass, threaten, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not use the information for hiring, housing, lending, insurance, or another screening decision.
  • Do not try to enter accounts, servers, or data that you are not allowed to access.
  • Do not run bots or scrapers to collect page content or search results without permission.
  • Do not interfere with service access or disrupt another visitor's use.

No Consumer Reporting Services

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Neither the site nor its advertising partners create a background check, credit report, or consumer report, and neither offers a screening service. You agree not to use information found here for a purpose regulated by the FCRA, including:

  • Hiring, firing, or other employment decisions.
  • Tenant or housing screening.
  • Creditworthiness or insurance-premium decisions.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility.
  • Any other use covered by the FCRA.

Links to Outside Services

Pages may point to municipal police logs, Connecticut State Police resources, the Judicial Branch, CT DOC, federal locator tools such as the Bureau of Prisons locator and ICE locator, State Archives records, town and geographic-county pages, and outside search services. A link is provided for convenience; it does not mean Connecticut Busted Mugshots endorses the destination. We do not control another service's information, privacy practices, charges, or availability. Review its own terms before sending it information.

Information Without Warranties

All page text, links, and tools are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no promise that:

  • Information is accurate, complete, or current.
  • The service will run without interruption.
  • Pages or tools will be free of errors, bugs, or security gaps.
  • Partner search results will be complete or useful for a particular need.

Custody and public-record entries can change without notice, and an online roster or docket may lag behind an agency's own file. Nothing on these pages is an official statement from a Connecticut police department, court, or corrections agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent the law permits, Connecticut Busted Mugshots and the people who operate it are not liable for loss or damage tied to access to, use of, or inability to use this service or any linked tool. This limit applies whether a claim concerns missing, late, or incorrect information or a service interruption.

Your Responsibility for Claims

If your use of the site or your failure to follow these Terms leads to a claim against Connecticut Busted Mugshots or its operators, you agree to protect them from that claim and cover reasonable legal costs connected with it, to the extent the law allows.

Ownership of Site Materials

Original writing, graphics, logos, page design, and code belong to Connecticut Busted Mugshots or the content partners who supplied them. You may not copy, distribute, alter, or republish those materials without written permission from the rights holder. Government records linked from these pages remain subject to the rights and rules of their source.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as the site or its services change. A new version takes effect when it is posted here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated wording.

Access May Be Limited

We may restrict or end access to all or part of the service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason. These Terms continue to apply to activity that took place before access ended.

Connecticut Law Applies

Connecticut law governs these Terms. Access to records held by Connecticut public agencies is governed by applicable law, including Conn. Gen. Stat. § 1-210, and its exemptions; these Terms do not expand an agency's duty to release a record. Any dispute about these Terms must be brought in a court located in Connecticut, as allowed by law.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. The affected wording will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable, while keeping its purpose as close as the law allows.

Questions About These Terms

For a question about the wording here, use the Contact Us page. Questions about a person's custody, a court file, or an official record must go to the agency or court that keeps it.
